Newb from Scotland

Post  Bikerbabe9 on Thu Oct 22, 2009 5:59 am

Hiya,

Scottish female biker, own and ride a K1 600s Bandit. I enjoy going to road racing and rallies when my shifts permit me.

I am participating in The Barry Sheene Memorial Motorcycle Challenge round Europe with Team Sheene to raise awareness and money for CLIC Sargent, Caring for children with cancer, I am the only female rider participating in the challenge, so i have a lot to live up too or as some might put it aint i the lucky one.

The
Barry Sheene Memorial Challenge 2010 will be in its 5th year. The aim
is to raise money for CLIC Sargent and being a member of Team Sheene, I
will join other motorcyclists from around the UK. Together we will
travel around 1700 miles over a ten day period, travelling through
Denmark, Sweden and Germany including a visit to Anderstorp, the track
in which Barry secured his and Great Britain's last premier class Grand
Prix victory in 1981. My challenge is to raise at least £2650.

I've had an open invitation to visit a friend who moved to Ireland about 35 years ago, haven't got there yet-no hurry !! Haven't been to TT either, but who knows maybe next year . At the moment can't even imagine doing any of these things on my Bike, but as soon as i've passed my test, i'll be riding every day and then anything's possible! Been thinking about what Bike i'd like next, found something very sexy, but i can't tell you what it is as i'll be banned from the Forum !! I can't see me parting with the Bandit though so i'll still be here!! Jin xx

hi there;talkin about ireland the north west 200 in ireland in may is meant to be great.its like a tt but a bit smaller.its near port rush;which is probably a couple of hours ride from the balfast ferry terminal.when me n davie went down to gallway last year it was about 8 hours drivin.but still a great few days.aye once you got that licence the world is yours eh.taz.

Really can't wait to rip those L Plates off!! Strange old world ain't it- it's legal for me to ride to Bristol with my Instructor just to get a piece of paper to say i can ride round a few Cones offroad !! Actually I do know how important it is to have 'slow control', don't have any problems riding in slow traffic at all, but put me in an enclosed area with the cones and it all goes badly wrong !!
