engine oil

just changed oil and filter on 04 650s with cAStrol power 14t 10 40 oil problem now with gear selection wont come out of first with engine on all gears lumpy any ideas

The best to use is any 10-40 mineral end of the day the engine is based on 20 + years old engine so it'll need similar oils your wasting your money on fancy oils IMHO

Tims right.Quality mineral oil is good enough. Or SEMI synthetic.Fully synthetic will cause problems especially with the clutch.

No m8 but I've heard if you poke belly button fluff down the oil filler hole it stops the engine rattling. You got any to spare?, Smile

Just used Motul 10W40 5100 in my recent oil and filter change and it is running really well. Was when I last run it!!

In the previous change I used Silkolene Comp4 10W40 - Good quality stuff - Synthetic ester based as is the Motul
