About 30 mm higher is right for the back end.Drop the forks aswell so 10mm is showing above the top yoke.It improves turn in dramatically. To do both these things its best to use a main stand. Then remove the two "dog bone" bolts and the back wheel will drop to the floor. Then with a mates help to make it easy, get the jack up bones and simply replace the old ones with them.Your m8 can lift the back wheel while you slot the bolts into place.Torque the nuts up and off you go. A better shock and progressive fork springs / new oil will further improve handling.
