Single Sided Swinging Arm Conversion?

Post  Crafty on Fri Aug 14, 2009 7:39 pm

Alright,

Looking to be pointed in the right direction.

Does anyone know where I could get this done in or around the Edinburgh area? I don't have the skills myself!

I know the places down south, however, no idea if there is such a place North of the border?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

I thought that alot of the Single Swing Arms flexed.

Especially when driving out of corners as you put max load on the rear suspension.

There's a guy in Southwell with a Bandit with a complete Triumph 955i rear end with the single side swing arm and rear wheel.

You could try that set-up

Joking apart,I believe its not the arm that flexes so much as the frame. Especially if it hasn't been designed with a single side arm in mind. I suspect some frame bracing will be required to keep the wheels in line and things generally safe.
